Well, here it is, because I got hooked right away with the idea and the reading of someone else's blog, I just HAD to create one of my own. Just like that. This crap's gonna be boring....
I dunno if anyone will read this but just in case they do, here's a little bit about me....
I love to abbreviate
I do and like to curse
I hate being censored however I am tactful when need be
I have horrible punctuation skills. I know where a period goes, but not a comma. Pardon me.
I may reference God for something or even say "God, I wish it would cool off" etc, it doesn't necessarily mean that I believe in God or do not believe in God. It's just a figure of speech! If you really wanna know what I believe in, ask me.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my baby girl to death. She is the reason I breathe. You know, she's been a brat lately but I still love her. I'll post pictures if I can. I don't even really know what the hell I am doing here w/ this blog thing.

I work quite an unorthodox job for a woman, even in today's times. My job makes my life really hard--physically, emotionally and totally mentally. Sometimes I wonder if I'll survive it. In case you are wondering I work for the Federal government. No, that's not why my job's hard. The reason is I work in a group that investigates the worst crimes against children--child pornography offenses. Now, if were not a mother it may not be as tough, but I AM a mom and it makes it 100x worse I think.
I grew up in lovely San Diego, CA & wish I still lived there but my job took me elsewhere.
I have a wonderful husband who's in the Navy and is currently gone for the next 5 months. He has been gone for 1 month now and we miss him here at home but we're surviving.
I have a wonderful 10 yr. old step son who really is a good kid, I got pretty lucky when I joined his family I think. I am totally still learning on how to be a mom. I have no idea what I am doing but the kids are still alive so....so far so good!
I have great parents who like many, are divorced. My mama remarried when I was like 11 or 12 and I really love my step dad. They had no other kids. My pops still lives in San Diego, lucky guy. He is retired from the Navy. Come to think of it, so is my step dad. I married a guy who'll retire from the Navy as well. Must run in the family! :) Unfortunately my parents live far away.
I have a half brother who I know but never grew up with. He is 4 yrs. older than me. My mom was married before my dad and had my brother at an early age and could not raise him in the environment she was in so he grew up w/ his paternal grandparents. His dad is a total asshole. I wonder why my mom didn't get him back when she met my dad and they could've raised him along w/ me? I never knew he existed until I was around 10 yrs. old. Probably more drama there than I ever wanna know. He does very well for himself now and is surprisingly sane and does well in life. He's cool.
All of my schooling was in San Diego until I went to college which I decided that I was not going to excel to try to get into UCSD or USD. Therefore, I went out of state and went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. WHOO HOO!!!!! It was a great time! I wish I could relive those days. I was somewhat of a spoiled child/adult. I stayed home until I was like 23, went off to Vegas and graduated at the ripe old age of 25 and turning 26 later that year. I did not attain my chosen career (which I guess is the job I have now) until I was a mere 33 yrs. old. God, I got a lot of years left to work. Ugh. I do not plan to pursue a Master's degree cause I really hate school (lazy) and it won't get me diddly shit as far as more pay at work so why go through the trouble? I make good $ w/ a bachelor's degree. My mom's 59 working on 2 Master's at the same time. I think she's an imposter taking the place of my mom cause I don't know why someone I am directly related to has that sort of ambition--especially when she's at retirement age!
I'm 37 going on 57 I swear. My body is like feeling its age already. Guess I am the only one to blame. I never exercise--I hate to--and I eat whatever I want which is junk food, aka shit. Seriously, after having Samantha I cannot get the 40 lbs. off. I don't make it any easier by the way I eat & not exercise. I hate to be told what to eat and I hate to exercise. Maybe I'll always be fat for the rest of my life. At least my DH likes me the way I am! Did I mention that I hate to exercise?
What else? How 'bout some advice I gleaned from the years 2002-2005? DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT ever date a married man. It's amazing how smart you think you are, you know, "yeah I went to college and I am a successful woman" and "yeah, I'm independant", but at the same time "I want to be loved". Oh here's a cute guy paying some attention to me. Never mind that his wife is going to have their baby a month or 2 after meeting him and being totally into him and then finding something like that out. His response? Oh I thought I told you! Ok dude. What's even lamer than that is that I believed him and kept seeing him and went through HELL loving that man. I am such a dumbass! Yeah, he ended up getting a divorce from her, not because of me. I kicked him to the curb long before that, but now some other stupid broad (who he was seeing at the same time as me I later found out!) gets to deal w/ his bullshit. She's friggin' nasty as hell too. Better her than me is all I can say. Ugh...
I got a cat. Yep, and 2 other cats and 3 other dogs. Too many pets in my opinion. I love my cat a lot. I like him a lot more than all of my coworkers. Seriously. My coworkers are jackasses. Anyway, my cat's 14 and I am really bummed that he's that old. Where does the time go? I adopted this cutie when he was 4 at a shelter in Rancho Santa Fe of all places. He has been a joy ever since. Except when he's meowing really loud at 3AM for no reason. That's when I wanna strangle him. The dogs are my husband's. Ok, I'll fess up. One is mine. He's pretty good. He's a real dumbass though. I got him when I lived alone. He's a huge ass German Shepherd and I think he's gay. Anyway, he looks scary, that's all that counts. The other 2 dogs are pains in my ass too. The 2 other cats are his as well and I kicked them outside. They do not know a litter box is where they're supposed to defecate and take a pee. So, out they went...I like my house clean.
So, I am sure you're completely bored out of your mind. Maybe you expected something really friggin' interesting w/ a blog by the name of "Daynamite". I stole that form an old college roommate that used to call me that. I always thought it was very witty.
Tomorrow we're serving a search warrant on some piece of shit's house. I call him that cause he's most likely got child porn on his computer. They made me the friggin' team leader for this operation and I am nervous. Did I mention that my coworkers are jackasses? Not that they don't know what they're doing as far as the job goes, they're just jerks in general. I hate being the only girl in a sea of guys in the workplace. It was actually my dream before I actually had this job, I thought "Oh if I work w/ dudes, there's less drama". Yeah, well I never bargained for a chauvanistic (<---spelling on that one?) workplace. The respect factor is low. Oh where's Aretha Franklin to sing for me when I need her? :) Anyway, the only way to get good at the team leader thing is to just do it I suppose. I really don't want to. Whatever. I'm more of a follower than a leader. How unambitious is that!!!! It's the truth. Tell me where to go and what to do and I'll be there and do it. No bullshit with me. Maybe I wasn't cut out to be a cop. Is everyone good at something in their lives? I mean, do we all possess some sort of useful talent or is that for a select few? I am still trying to find out what I am good at and then make a living doing it. Sure I can psell, ha ha I mean spell but damn, that's only useful for writing reports and not looking like a complete dork. I'm a good mom but I don't want any more kids. We can't afford it and the way the world's going these days.....what's it going to be like for my baby girl and my step son when they're older?
I wish I was more humorous or wrote well, but this is just me being frank. Well, Dayna, not frank but you catch my drift. If you even got this far, I commend you. You are a glutton for punishment. Thanks for reading and I'll try to have some more interesting things to say in the future. Maybe I'll let you know how my team leadership skills came out. If I do really crappy, then you won't read about it....and if I don't figure out this blog thing then I just wasted a crap load of time typing! :)
